Greater Spell Extension[]

By use of an extension spell the wizard refreshes the duration of a previously applied spell effect from a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th level spell. The original duration is replaced with a new value of one round per casterlevel, overriding any metamagic type effects. It does not matter whether the original spell was cast at an increased spell level, only the spell's innate level is used. Only spells on the caster and cast by him are effected.
